Barcode Read Easy is a system designed to operate with your Windows PC. It includes a barcode scanner which a vision-impaired person can use to scan barcodes for common household items. The description of the item will then be read aloud. Best of all it's easy to use!

The system includes a database of almost a million products. Whenever a barcode is scanned it will attempt to identify the product. Additionally, you can add your own descriptions for items. For example, rather than hearing "Charles Shaw Merlot" you could have it say "Two Buck Chuck!"

What about things that don't have barcodes, used clothing, ID cards, and keys, for example? The Barcode Read Easy includes 300 blank barcode labels that can be assigned a description and then stuck onto various items. |

Barcode Read Easy Handheld The Barcode Read Easy Handheld is the most economical version. In order to scan a barcode, the scanner must be correctly aligned with the barcode.

Barcode Read Easy Omni The Barcode Read Easy Omni can scan items very easily and rapidly. This scanner uses similar technology that is used at grocery store checkout lanes. Simply wave the item with a barcode in front of the scanner in any direction, and it wil be identified.
